Young Bird Photographer of the Year 2019 Winners Announced!!

Bird Photographer of the year are delighted to annouce the winners of the 2019 Young Bird Photographer of the Year Competition sponsored by the Cameron Bespolka Trust and Swarovski Optik.

Congratulations to Tamás Koncz-Bisztricz from Hungary who wins our Young BPOTY Gold award 2019 for this image entitled ‘The Cradle of Life’

Congratulations go to Tamás Koncz-Bisztricz from Hungary for his drone image of Mallards taken on one of Hungary’s soda lakes. The judges loved the colours and composition of this image. Tamás wins a pair of Swarovski Optik CL Pocket 8x25 binoculars and £350.

Congratulations also go to Madeline Nolan from the United States of America who wins Silver for her Rufous Hummingbird and Ariel Fields from Israel who wins Bronze for his Little Owl image. Please take a look at our 2019 winners’ page for more information.

The 2020 YBPOTY competition is now open for entries and is free to enter. You have to be under 18 on 30th November 2019 to be eligible and there are 3 age categories this year.
